Customer Reviews

What a fabulous way to spend a day friendly and competent guides, well cared for horses. It was such an enjoyable way to see some countryside and my two kids of 6 and 9 absolutely loved it - candice cook

We had a lovely family outing, riding to the elephant sanctuary and the onto the Peppermill cafe for lunch. We were suitably knitted out. The horses had been selected to suit our individual abilities; from my husband who's only knowledge was to ask where the hand brake was, to my youngest daughter (22) who is very experienced. The route through the forest was beautiful and our guide, Damien, was very informative on local surroundings. Fortunately we didn't regret it too much the following day and would definitely repeat the experience. Even the welcome from the resident German Shepherd, who was friendly and playful, was quite endearing. A must do, even for non riders. - Jackie Foulkes

Amazing people and dog/cat family.. horses were really good and made us happy throughout the trip. - Yasmien & Ahmed

I must say the whole experience was superb. I booked via email from the UK and this was very easy Once we arrived we were given good quality equipment and an excellent briefing. The horses where excellent and well suited to the riders experience it was a nice group of around 10 all at different levels The first half of the ride was though the forest to birds of Eden / Monkey Sanctuary (birds of eden out of this world) Only myself and my partner was visiting Birds of Eden after the visit we meet up with our guide and went to the Winery as I was an experienced rider our guide ensured I had the opportunity for a good gallop canter The winery was superb we chose a range of tapas and wine this was paid for separately was very inexpensive and worth very penny would most defiantly recommend this visit. After the winery we rode back to the centre. I must say the whole experience was professional, well organised & fun and I would recommend this to anyone - deborah chambers

The ride, which I did with my husband, was a wonderful experience with magnificent views over the hills, and some fantastic paths through the natural forest. The horses are in excellent condition and you can see that they are very well looked after. The tack (a trail saddle which is ideal for beginners) was also well maintained. I rode Ozzy who was very responsive when asked, but was also a calm gentle ride. The two staff members who accompanied us (and three other beginner riders), took excellent care of humans and horses. They asked the group if we wanted to trot but made sure that everyone felt safe and secure before doing so. Unfortunately, a large tree had fallen over the path, so were not able to ride all the way to Bramon, but they instead took us on an alternative ride which took us through the most beautiful natural vegetation. I will go out of my way to ride with Hog Hollow horse trails in future. - Janine & Roland Luders
