Wine Farm Trail Full Day

Tsitsikamma

Activity Description

Enjoy a full day on the Crags Wine Route on horseback. Explore the beautiful vineyards, Fynbos and forest whilst tasting local wines and accompanying delectable fare. Choose two estates from this list of five wine estates in this area : Bramon Wine Estate (open every day), Redford Lane Wines (open Tuesday – Sunday), Lodestone (open Tuesday – Sunday), Kay & Monty (open Tuesday – Sunday) and Newstead Wines (open Tuesday to Saturday).

Choose one estate as a lunch venue and one estate as a tasting venue.

  • Bramon Wine Estate :
Enjoy local wines, cheeses, oysters, meats, pates and more all served with freshly baked homemade breads and polished off with a decadent dessert. Set in the vineyards and overlooking the Tsitsikamma mountains and The Elephant Sanctuary. This family run estate offers organoleptic fare for the entire family!
  • Newstead Wine Estate :
Our tasting room is very much the way we hope people will think of our farm : welcoming, authentic, intimate. It’s a place we want visitors to be able to relax and linger. Like a home, it will evolve, change, and hopefully surprise, depending on the time of day or year. We don’t have restaurant-like formalities, but our foods are guided by the season, insprired by the moment, and made from scratch using ingredients that are locally-sourced (often as local as our own vegetable, herb and flower garden) and always fresh, simple and delicious.
  • Redford Lane Wines :
Redford Lane farm was bought and established in 2006 and is home to the Lane family. We were fortunate enough to have the opportunity and space to put in a hectare of Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyard is family managed which as given us a better understanding of the wine making process. We have made an easy drinking, refreshing wine which is soft on the palate and accompanies a wide variety of dishes. Our new restaurant offers cheese and meat platters to accompany our wine.

Customer Reviews

Excellent service. They really know what they are doing. My 7 year old enjoyed it as well. - Irma Hugo

We had a wonderful ride at Hog Hollow Horse trails. Kim and the team were amazing and so friendly. We have already recommended Hog Hollow to our family, friends and colleagues. Kind regards Mandy - Mandy Smith

It was fantastic! The scenery is absolutely a must see and the whole experience was relaxing and very enjoyable. The guides were very hands-on and I felt save the whole time (important to an inexperienced rider). We were four in the group and the horses were well picked to suit each rider. The administrative side of things was handled quickly and without fuss which adds to the keeping it relaxed. - Melissa Eloff

Dit was baie lekker. N great ervaring. Dankie vir jul vriendelike diens en geduld - Riaan Meyer
